Making Time For You! 

In this module you will be asked some questions to get clear on how to make more time for you.

This is about a 2 minute read. Followed by 10 minutes to do the activity.

Making more time for you is about investing in your time. Learning about what fills your cup.
What makes you smile and staying in touch with your needs.
What is ideal for you, might not be ideal for someone else.
All of us are built differently but all need the same thing!

What is 5 minutes for you might be 30 minutes to 1 hour for someone else. 

So how do you make the most of it?

You can start by asking yourself these questions: (I can guarantee you that when you get super clear on what you want, you will show up better as a mom, a wife, a partner, a teacher etc. Whoever you are. I am not blowing smoke up your butt. This is the truth!) 

 

1. What do you need to do to make yourself a priority?

2. When was the last time I was lost in a task or hobby and actually enjoyed myself?

3. Am I still unsure about my clarity and what I need to make more time/ take care of myself and if it is even possible?


Now let's dig even deeper to your why and how you are going to achieve it….


1. How do you plan to make yourself a priority?

2. Why is it so important to you?

3. How will you know if you are successful?

4. Who will you reach out to if you need help?

5. Will this be in your calendar? On your phone? Google Calendar to ring you a notification to show up? Yes/No?

6. Do you plan on communicating with your family that you are doing this?

(Keep asking yourself these questions, until you feel that light or spark that feels right)

The goal of this exercise is to get in touch with your needs, wants and desires. Most of us don't know who we are anymore and we are just getting by with the skin of our teeth. 

For example. If you are wanting to go to Hawaii- you know how you are getting there by plane. But where are you sitting, where are you staying, what is your itinary look like? What do you want out of this vacation. The details are what will help us with getting to where you want to go.

Are you wanting to release weight?
Are you wanting to have more energy so that you can play with your kids?
Are you wanting to get back playing an instrument?

All of these needs, wants and desires are good. But how good are they if we aren't clear on what we are going to do to make time for this to happen? Do you need 1 hour a week? 30 minutes a week? 2 hours a week? What do you want!


It is time to get clear!

REMEMBER: Keep these answers close to you. Review them before you go to bed. Wake up and write down your 3 must do’s everyday to fill your cup. Start making time for you and the only way to do this is to audit yourself before you go to bed and when you wake up! There is no one size fits all approach. This is about what fills your soul and is perfectly imperfect. Do not compare yourself to someone else. Start with doing what is easiest and work your way up when you feel the time is right.
